The last humans' hope

                It was the last day before alien-Drej destoryed Earth. Everybody was on a lot of huge rockets, ready to save their life, but Cale -5 years old- didn't want to leave, because his father left him and just gave him a ring.
                15 years later, human survivors scattered the galaxy, and Cale still hated his father. Until one day, he met new friends who told him there was a hope for human race. He realized that the ring which his father gave him- was a map to find the Titan, an advanced technology spaceship, which could bring human race to their home. He did his journey with Akima, a female human pilot, Korso, and 3 other aliens, Preed, Stith, and Gune.
                But their goal wouldn't be so easy, because the Queen of the Drej, Susquehana wanted the Titan eagerly as Cale and Akima did. But, finally Cale and Akima got the ship first and there was a battle between them and the Drej, which victory was human's. So, they made a new planet for human race's home with the Titan. And Cale realized that his father was not a bad guy, he just tried to save his son from dangers.
                The weakness of this novel is, it lacks of description that makes the readers difficult to imagine how do the aliens look like. And, there are some of alien word that I think, only the writer who understand it. The strength of this novel is its plot. The writer tells the story chronologically and makes the readers understand the sequences effortless.
                The moral value of this novel is, there's a will, there's a way. I recommend this novel to anyone who like adventure and science-fiction story.

Black Beauty Review

Loyalty, Survival, and Kindness
Black beauty is a fiction novel which tells about a black horse’s life. Black Beauty is a male horse, and has a white star-coat in his forehead.
When he was a clot, he has been well bred and well cared by his master. After he was a horse, he was sold to Squire Gordon and John Manly as the groom. The new master and the groom were nice, kindly and thoughtful person, just like his previous master. He lived there for 3 years. But one day, the master’s mistress got an ill that made the master has to sell Black Beauty.
After that, Black Beauty has many new owners. Some of them were nice person, and the others were not. He has been a cab-horse, and even driven by a drunken fellow. But he kept his spirit and did what the best.In his journey, he met a lot of horses, and made friends. Some of his bestfriend were Ginger, who has been ill-used by her previous master, and Captain, who was a war horse.
The weakness of this heart touching novel is, sometimes the name in the dialogue makes reader confused -wether it’s human or horse who is talking-. The strength of this novel is, the writer’s point of view. Anna Sewell put herself as a horse and succeed makes the readers fell like a horse too.
Moral value of this novel is, “Grow up gentle and good, and never learn bad ways, do your work with a good will” (Anna Sewell, p.2). I do recommend this amazing novel for everyone who’d like to learn about loyalty, survival, and kindness story, even it come from a horse.

A Notorious Lady Review

This novel has four main characters, there are John Caldwell and his friend, Jordan DeVaux who are Professor of astronomy in Trinity University, Cambridge; and a mysterious widow called Lady Eleanor Whitcombe and his son, William.
One day, DeVaux introduced his friend, Lady Whitcombe and William to Caldwell, but the introduction was not good enough, because Caldwell let Will –which had respiratory illness- sled in the snow, and it made Lady Whitcombe dislike Caldwell at the first.
Caldwell was interested to Lady Whitcombe, but she looked like hid something, unknown story about her past. She had isolated herself about 9 years from society, until one day Will got sick and she must brought him to the doctor at the midnight. After Will was treated by the doctor, the Lady got the problem with the way to back home, because there was no transpotation in the midnight. But, they met Caldwell and he brought them to the Observatory. There, Lady Whitcombe told the truth to the Caldwell, that William was another man’s son, and the marriage with Whitcome was just arranged. That was why she lived in Potton, because in London people always humiliate her.
With the presence of Caldwell, Lady Whitcombe’s life got better. They liked each other. But the Master of the campus, remind the professor of astronomy that there was no scandal must attach to Trinity name. Moreover, the Master knew Eleanor’s past and he hated it. And then one day, Caldwell couldn’t stand with the Master’s humiliation about Eleanor, so he hit the Master. The effect, Caldwell resigned from the university. But Eleanor didn’t want this happened, so she asked the Master to return Caldwell to his position. Finally, the Master resigned himself, and committee requested Caldwell to stay. And, Caldwell proposed the Eleanor to become a Lady Caldwell.
The strength of this romance novel is, we can know a little knowledge about astronomy such as when Lyrids meteor happened. The weakness of this novel is, there’s a lot of repetition and lack of attention to the punctuation, such as in page 102 and 121, there’s no quotation mark that distinguish the end of direct speech and the indirect one.
The moral value of this happy ending story is, we can bid from society, but we can’t bide from love.

EE Days! [Hapedede]

Hollaaa.. Di postingan ini gw mau make bahasa indonesia aja, karena lebih mudah untuk mengekspresikan apa yg ada di pikiran gw pake bahasa ibu gw (apa dah).
Ok, ini tentang English Education Days yg diselenggarakan dari tanggal 3 - 6 desember 2013. Yaaa ini adalah event taunan, taun kemaren sih namanya EED Party (Pertama gw denger phrase itu, gw kira jurusan gw bakal clubbing lol), padahal isinya adalah lomba antar kelas di jurusan PBI.

Dan pas turun SK, gw ditaro di divisi HPDD.
Gw di HPDD ama uthy, orangnya gesit dan lincah (udah kaya iklan motor aja), dia sekelas ama gw, dan job desk yg dia senangi di HPDD adalah ngeprint sertifikat di Asia Visual, karena dia seneng ama mas-masnya yg jaga. Terus ada Bella, orangnya asik di ajak susah haha, punya laptop windows 8 tapi ga punya ptoshop -_-. Ada 3 anak sm.1, Lukman yg kaya gitu, Galuh yg kalo ngasih ide selalu ditolak, ama Meylia yg manggut2 aja.

Sebenernya gw ga terlalu ngerti apa yg harus gw lakuin, tapi yg jelas hal yg pertama harus dibikin adalah banner. Awalnya, gw udah niat biar anak sm.1 aja yg bikin design, tapi gw coba2 aja bikin iseng2. Dannnn pas rapat hari esoknya, gw shock melihat karya teman2 gw yg penuh dengan warna pink dan bunga2 (padahal salah satu di antara pembuatnya itu adalah cowok, tapi dia bikin bunga2 -___-), dan anehnya forum malah milih gambar gw yg absurd dan banyak orang2 yg loncat didalem gambarnya yg gw rasa itu lebih  mirip cicak.



Ok, ke-bego-an saya dimulai setelah itu. You know, namanya rapat pasti ngebahas apa yg kurang, nah setelah disain gw yg dipilih, mulai deh bermunculan kritik dan saran yg udah kaya jamur di musim ujan. Gw sih terima2 aja, toh gw juga masih belajar, tapi konyolnya, gw bikin design itu pake PHOTOSCAPE, (yap, lu ga salah baca). Dan seluruh isi bumi pun tau, kalo gambar yg udah di "save" di photoscape itu, ga bisa diedit lagi. NICE! dan yang bikin lengkap itu adalah, laptop gw ga bisa ngetik, karena kalo disentuh kibordnya, dia langsung kaya TV ga dapet channel. Walhasil gw ngetik pake On-Screen-Keyboard (Ini adalah sesedih-sedih-nya ngetik yang pernah gw lakuin)

Berkali2 revisi pun gw lakuin, mulai dari tata letak ampe fontnya.Yang paling bagus lagi adalah, saat udah fixs, tiba2 ketua HMJ kita ngomong, "pantia semua udah tau ka? kita acara diundur satu hari, jadi mulainya hari selasa" TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (fanfare music scoring). It means that tanggal yg udah gw bikin di banner itu harus di ganti, dan inget, gw masih pake potoskep.

Hari esoknya, gw dapet wejangan dari ketua OC, nia yg dulunya smk (yang pothosop adalah makanan sehari-hari dia), Semenjak saat itu, gw terbangunkan, dan mulai memakai potosop buat bikin cocard :)
Ga nyampe situ, masalah pun datang ganti-gantian. Sekarang plastik co-card yg kekecilan dan ga muat, yah awalnya mau di guntingin tuh co-crad biar muat, akhirnya uthy dpt solusi buat beli plastik yg pas (yg akhirnya ini juga jadi masalah et dahhhh)
The next masalah is, menghilangnya poto2 di kameranya si mutia (anak peralatan). Itu kita masih sedikit tenang karena ada back-up-an poto2 lain di kamera gw ama ka dwi. Tapi besoknya, tiba2 si mutia sms gw kalo kamera ka dwi tiba2 ilang juga sema filenya.. OH GOD WHY! Yaudah, yg bisa kita lakuin hanya minta maap ama ka dwi and mutia.

FYI, gw jadi MC di hari rabu buat spelling bee, nah abis itu lomba scrabble..
tadinya poet yg mau lomba, tapi tiba2 jadi nia yang main, tapi tiba2 nia nawarin gw, tapi gw ga enak, tapi dia ga enak tapi tapi tapi....
dan akhirnya keputusan untuk wakil 3b scrabble pun diambil dengan cara SUIT, dan gw menang -_-
singkat cerita, gw main dan menang ampe final wakaka padahal gw baru bisa main kaya begituan 3 hari sebelum lomba, thanks buat uthy nia ely poet :O

itu adalah sertifikatnya, yaaa karena gw yang bikin, jadi gw biasa aja pas dapet sertifikat itu lol

Introduction to Literature - A Brief History of English Literature



A BRIEF HISTORY OF ENGLISH LITERATURE

1. Old English Period (the earliest time—1066)
Social background of english literature in old period is affected on  the making of England, the invasion of Roman Empire in 4th AD, and the attacks of Danish Vikings.
Example of the literature: Beowulf , the earliest literature, the national epic of the Anglo-Saxon, one of the striking features—the use of alliteration
Epic is a long narrative poem in elevated style presenting characters of high position in a series of adventures which form an organic whole. The earliest epic: Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, and In alliterative verse, certain accented words in a line begin with the same consonant sound.
Beowulf refers back to an age of monster slayings in Scandinavia, but it interprets them as struggles between good and evil, between humanity and the destructive force which undo human order. Grendel, the first monster of the poem, is seen as ‘Godes andasca’, the enemy of God. Other old english literature is The Battle of Maldon and the Elegie, and The Biblical Poems and The Dream of the Rood.

      A.    Pengertian dan fungsi pembelajaran sebagai sistem
Pertama-tama, kita harus mengetahui apa yang dimaskud dengan sistem. Sistem dapat diartikan sebagai satu kesatuan komponen yang berhubungan satu sama lain untuk mencapai suatu tujuan. Sistem memiliki 3 ciri utama, yaitu memiliki tujuan tertentu, untuk mencapai tujuan sebuah sistem memiliki fungsi-fungsi tertentu, dan untuk menggerakan fungsi sebuah sistem memiliki komponen.
Komponen suatu sistem memiliki sifat sebagai berikut.
1.      Memiliki komponen yang bersifat integral (komponen inti), dan komponen tidak integral (pelengkap).
2.      Setiap komponen berhubungan satu dengan yang lain.
3.      Setiap komponen merupakan keseluruhan yang bermakna.
4.      Setiap komponen dalam suatu sistem adalah bagian dari sistem yang lebih besar.
Berikutnya, yang dimaksud dengan sistem pembelajaran adalah suatu kombinasi terorganisasi yang meliputi unsur-unsur manusiawi, material, fasilitas, perlengkapan dan prosedur yang berinteraksi untuk mencapai suatu tujuan (Hamalik, 2003)[1].
